Abia State governor’s Chief Press Secretary (CPS), Onyebuchi Ememanka, has reacted to claims in some quarters that Governor Okezie Ikpeazu has been sick and bedridden.

The CPS in a statement on Saturday refuted the claim and described it as the handiwork of political fifth columnists and agents of destabilisation.

He said the governor “is hale and hearty” and even had a busy schedule on Friday, attending to a long line of official visitors, who were at the state government house in Umuahia for one issue or the other.

Ememanka therefore called on the citizens of the state to totally ignore the rumour, which he insisted was from “agents of confusion” who derive joy in evil.

He emphasised,  that the “Governor is in perfect state of health and is prepared to challenge any of those spreading the rumour to a game of soccer.”
