Super Eagles unmoved in latest world rankings

The Super Eagles of Nigeria made neither a negative or a positive move in the latest FIFA world rankings released on Thursday.

Ranked 31st in the world and third in Africa in the last rankings for February, the Gernot Rohr men maintained the spot for March.

The team have not been active due to the coronavirus pandemic ravaging the world at this point in time, as matches lined up have all been postponed.

The Teranga Lions of Senegal retained their spot at the top of African football, followed by Tunisia; while Algeria and Morocco occupy fourth and fifth positions respectively.

There were also no changes in the top five teams in the world, with Belgium leading the pack.

World champions France, Brazil, England and Uruguay remain second, third, fourth and fifth respectively.

The next FIFA rankings would be published on June 11, 2020.
