Tell Nigerians Buhari's health status, PDP tells govt

The Senator Ahmed Makarfi-led National Caretaker Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has joined other Nigerians in welcoming back President Muhammadu Buhari and prayed for his full recovery.

The party also extoled the outstanding performance of Acting President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo since President Buhari travelled.

President Muhammadu Buhari returned to Nigeria on Friday morning, 50 days after he travelled to the United Kingdom for medical treatment.

PDP, which welcomed the President in a statement by its Publicity Secretary, Mr Dayo Adeyeye, also cautioned the presidency to try and be open in handling the president’s health.

“Nigerians deserves to know the health status of their president and how it’s being managed.

“In the same vein, we thank the Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, for holding forth creditably while the president was away. We urge him to continue to work assiduously to lift the nation out of this debilitating economic recession.

“To achieve this all hands must be on deck. And, there is therefore the need to reduce political tension and bring all Nigerians together,’’ Adeyeye said.

He therefore urged every citizen of Nigeria to maintain their prayers for the ailing President to ensure his full and quick recovery.

It further asked for prayers for God to give Acting President Osinbajo wisdom to continue the onerous task of steering the ship of the nation.

Hmmmmm. Though we are happy having him back in the country but yet, it’s not a big deal to divulge the real illness or diseases brewing with him so we can even suggest local herbs for him instead of going to UK.

The president is back, now PDP has shifted their mission to pressurizing him to disclose his health challenges. When he was away, PDP called him different names, can PDP allow Buhari to have peace please?

PDP is faced with more challenges within their party than to be more interested in Buhari’s health challenge, Mr President said he’s fine, that’s all that matters. If they don’t believe him, it’s their headache. Is it a crime to go on medical checkups and return to the country? PDP should shift one side abegi!

Markafi is just useless man and so confused. What is his palava with buhari’s matter. Someone who has lost his position legally just fighting or chasing after shadow. I pity him. I prefer sheriff to him far better. Sheriff hardly say incoherent things like him.

I do not understand the plenty talks over Buhari’s health at the moment. His health, even though as president, is his personal business, I think. He doesnt have to tell us, no!
