Two men have been sentenced to life in prison after pouring acid on a couple in Ile-Ife.

They were sentenced on Monday at a High court in Osun state after pleading not guilty to the charge

The Prosecutors, Mrs Ajibola Alade, the Chief State Counsel and Mr A. O. Adeniji, the Acting Solicitor-General and Permanent Secretary, Osun Ministry of Justice, told the court that the convict attacked the couple with acid on the face and the body on Dec 16, 2013 around 2 p.m. at Eleyele Street, Ile-Ife.

Ruling, Justice R. A. Siyanbola found them guilty of count-three of causing grievous harm and sentenced Kamil Folorunsho and Rilwan Abioye for pouring acid on Mr Ismaila and Mulikat Akinlabi.
