1,000 bandits surrender weapons in Zamfara

About 1,000 armed bandits have surrendered their weapons and renounced armed banditry and other crimes in Zurmi LGA of Zamfara state.

Last week, political and military leaderships engaged the armed bandits and cattle rustlers in peace talks in the latest move to bring destruction of lives and property to an end.

At the peace dialogue event yesterday at Gidan Jaja village of Zurmi local government area, about 1,000 armed bandits from 14 different camps in the local government area publicly renounced armed banditry and all sorts of crimes.
