Former Niger State Gov Aliyu says 'Atiku will defeat Buhari squarely' if there's no rigging

The Minna Division of the Federal High Court on Thursday issued bench warrants for the arrest of former Niger State Governor, Babangida Aliyu, and his former Chief of Staff, Umar Nasko.

Aminu Aliyu, the judge, also revoked the earlier bail granted Messrs Aliyu and Nasko by Justice Yellim Bogoro for failure to respect hearing notices served on them to appear in court.

As a result of their failure to appear before the court and respect hearing notices sent to them, they will be re-arraigned before the Court Minna on Monday.

The duo are on 8-count charge of criminal conspiracy and money laundering. They are being prosecuted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over their alleged involvement in about N2 billion money laundering and other financial crimes.

The case was adjourned until May 27.
