OSUN POLL RESULT: Okorocha admits APC has a lot of work to do ahead 2019

The National Working Committee (NWC) of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has suspended two of its governors.

The body on Friday, announced the suspension of governors Rochas Okorocha and Ibikunle Amosun of Imo and Ogun states respectively.

The NWC it was learnt went further to recommend that the two governors be expelled from the party.

Although reasons for the action by the party NWC is still being expected, speculations are that the duo’s suspension may not be unconnected with their role in the ongoing general elections.

Both governors are working to ensure APC governorship candidates in their respective states are defeated in the coming March 9 governorship and House of Assembly elections.

While Okorocha is backing his Chief of Staff and son-in-law, Uche Nwosu, who is the governorship candidate of the Action Alliance (AA) to be his successor in Imo, Amosun is doing everything to ensure his anointed governorship candidate of Allied People’s Movement (APM), Adekunle Akinlade, becomes next governor of the state after him.

The party has continuously frowned at this development, and regarded it as anti-party.
