Army destroys B’Haram food, bans horse riding in Borno

Anyone found riding horses in Borno State henceforth will be considered an insurgent, the Nigerian Army has declared.

The 7th Division of the Army further warned traditional rulers to desist from the use of horses because Boko Haram fighters have resorted to using them as a means of transportation.

The spokesman of the Division Col. Tukur Gusau stated these at the destruction of dry fish worth millions of naira seized from the Boko Haram insurgents at different locations in Borno State.

Gusau informed that the seized fish was another source of funding for the terrorists that has been truncated.

According to him, the seized fish consists of 2,000 cartons of smoked fish and dry meat the insurgents carted away from innocent traders.

He explained that all sources of revenues as well as fuel supply and foods for the insurgents have been blocked.

Gusau boosted that all logistics for the terrorists would be destroyed soonest.
