195 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Nigeria as total hits 1532

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) Tuesday night confirmed 195 new COVID-19 cases in the country.

The centre said on its Twitter handle that the fresh infections were recorded in 14 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

The breakdown of the figure is as follows: Lagos (80), Kano (38), Ogun (15), Bauchi (15), Borno (11), Gombe (10) and Sokoto (9).

Others are – Edo (5), Jigawa (5), Zamfara (2), Rivers (1), Enugu (1), Delta (1), FCT (1) and Nasarawa (1).

The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Nigeria is now 1,532 with 44 deaths.

However,255 patients have been discharged from hospitals and isolation centres across the country.

NCDC said: “As at 11:50 p.m. 28th April- 1532 confirmed cases of #COVID19 reported in Nigeria.

“Discharged: 255 AND Deaths: 44.”
