Published

on

Nigerians may soon heave a sigh of relief over the present fuel scarcity that has caused so much hardship, as members of the Major Oil Marketers Association of Nigeria (MOMAN) have agreed to commence supply of the products.

They made a turnaround, Monday after a meeting with the Chairman, Senate committee on petroleum resources, Magnus Abe, Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister for the Economy, ‎ Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, MD of NNPC Joseph Dawha and other stakeholders in the oil and gas sector in Abuja.

At the meeting, the oil marketers agreed that the Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR) should immediately revoke the license of any oil marketer that refuses to lift petroleum products across Nigeria.

Reports say members of PENGASSAN, NUPENG, MOMAN and IPMAN also addressed the press where they affirmed the resolutions and agreement to call off their strike action as well.

Do they all want cookies for doing their jobs? Jeez! It was interesting to see how far these people went because of misappropriation of funds and greed. I guess it is time for a new dispensation, let’s wait and see.
