BUDGET PRESENTATION: While Buhari still in Gambia all NASS entrances shut

In anticipation of the arival of President Muhammadu Buhari who is still in Gambia, to the National Assembly to present the 2017 budget, the three entraces leading to the assembly have been shut by security operatives.

The situation has rendered entry into the place a Herculean task as members of staff have been denied access, a situation that has also affected services within the complex.

At the time of this report, long queues of vehicles and crowd of agitated people were seen at the different entry points.

President Buhari is scheduled to visit the National Assembly by 12 pm to officially present the estimates of the 2017 budget to senators and members of the House of Representatives.

Meanwhile, Buhari is still in the Gambia and it is not yet sure if he will meet the scheduled 12pm appointment.

The president is in Gambia with an ECOWAS team made up of the president’s of Liberia and Ghana among others to persuade that country’s President Yahya Jammeh to accept the election results in which he lost and had already congratulated the winner but made a U-turn.

    The major thing is for the budget to be presented , at least before 2pm, buhari will get there. So no much talk.

      Who told you buhari will arrive by 2pm when his still at were he his by 11am.you better stop dreaming because buhari wil not appear

    The Budget will be crap, that I’m sure of. This government is not competent of anything, not even writing a credible budget

    Buhari is expected to present 2017 budget by 12 noon and as after 11 am he’s yet to arrive the country, with all due respect, Mr. President is very nonchalant and has disrespected the NASS, he should be sanctioned for this

      Hmmmm do you know why am not surprise that buhari has not arrive to the country because he has evil agender in 2017 project
