Buhari remains Petroleum Minister, as he assigns portfolios to 2nd term cabinet members (Full List)

President Muhammadu Buhari has retained himself as Minister of Petroleum as he assigned portfolios to his new cabinet members.

He announced Timipre Sylva as Minister of State for Petroleum, and retained Lai Mohammed and Chris Ngige as Information and Labour Ministers respectively.

President Buhari who made the announcement on Wednesday said Senator Godswill Akpabio is to take charge of the Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs, while former minister and attorney general of the federation (AGF) Abubakar Malami retains how former portfolio.

Notable in the announcement is the fact that former Lagos State governor, Babatunde Fashola who was hitherto in charge of Works, Power and Housing has been stripped of one of the ministries.

He is now to only be in charge of the ministry of Works and Housing.
