Court orders ex-Gov Goje’s arrest over alleged N25bn fraud

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has been ordered to arrest former governor of Gombe State and serving Senator Danjuma Goje for alleged N25billion fraud.

The order of bench warrant for the arrest of the former governor was given by a Federal High Court sitting in Jos, Plateau State, for his refusal to appear in court.

A statement from the court containing his order of arrest read, “A Federal High Court, sitting in Jos, Plateau State, on Tuesday October 4, 2016 issued a bench warrant against former governor of Gombe State, Danjuma Goje, for refusing to show up in court. The warrant is however to take effect by 8am on October 5, 2016, if he fails to show up in court again.”
