Obazuaye has enjoyed an impeccable outing at the Gold Coast competition, having kept a clean slate through the rounds before succumbing to a 3-1 defeat in the final.

But in the final, she fell against Australia’s Melissa Tapper by losing 7-11, 11-2, 11-6, 11-13.
She started brightly, picking the first set 11-7 but Tapper blew her away by winning the next three sets.
