UCL: Salah looks forward to reuniting with former club Roma

Following the UEFA Champions League semifinal draw which placed Liverpool against AS Roma, Egyptian star Mohamed Salah says he is happy to be returning to his former club.

The Liverpool forward left the Giallorossi in the summer, but he’ll be reunited with his former club in the Champions League semi-finals.

The Reds saw off Manchester City in the quarterfinals to now face Roma, who stunned Barcelona to reach the last four.

“It’s my old club. I love the fans there and they love me too,” Salah told CNN.

“I still talk to most of the players there. We were very close to each other and we are good friends.

“Of course I have happy memories. We played together for two years and were fighting together in all the games. We had a good time in the dressing room.”

The first leg of the ties will be played at Anfield on April 24 while Roma will host the second leg on May 2.

Whoever wins on aggregate will face the winners of the tie between Bayern Munich and Real Madrid in the final that takes place in Kiev, Ukraine on May 26.
