Reps permit Jibrin to enter NASS, to answer query
Former chairman of the House of Representatives’ Appropriation Committee, Abdulmumin  Jibrin has said insisted that Speaker Yakubu Dogara is guilty of budget padding.
He said he would not apologise as demanded by the speaker for the accusation, even as he said Dogara must be stopped from approaching the court to invoke House rules.
This is as he insisted on his accusation that Speaker Dogara and some leaders of the House of Representatives padded the 2016 budget.
The Speaker, who is denying the allegations, had asked Jibrin, to within seven days retract his allegations or face legal actions.
But Jibrin, insisting Dogara was guilty as accused, tweeted, “I will not and will never apologise.
“I know he will rush to court in order to invoke the House rules that matters in court cannot be heard on the floor.”
Jibrin then said that he was working to get the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and Independent Corrupt Practices and other Offences Commission (ICPC) to investigate Dogara.
