El-Rufai wins, gets another term as Kaduna gov

The Kaduna State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has advised the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), not to consider wasting its time and resources to appeal against the tribunal judgment which upheld the re-election of Governor Nasir El-Rufai.

The ruling party gave the advise on Saturday when chieftains of the party celebrated the victory of Governor El-Rufai at the tribunal in Igabi LGA of Kaduna State.

Speaking on behalf of the party, former House of Representatives member, Hon. Ibrahim Bello Rigachikun, said that the PDP should go and prepare for the 2023 general elections.

According to him, “In the court of law, if you don’t have any substance, there is no need to fight. So, the PDP don’t have a case, they should just go and start preparing for 2023, instead of wasting their time to appeal the tribunal judgement.”

“Our governor is a leading example because he is the first governor in this whole federation to start the implementation of the N30, 000 minimum wage, when others are still foot dragging. Even if it is this minimum wage alone, he is supposed to be celebrated nationwide not even Kaduna State alone,” he added.
