Eaglets arrive Abuja amidst fanfare

The victorious Nigeria Under-17 national team, the Golden Eaglets, arrived the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja yesterday (Wednesday) amidst fanfare as Nigerians stormed the airport to celebrate the team’s success at the FIFA U-17 World Cup in Chile.
The Golden Eaglets touched down at the airport at 3:30pm and were received by the Director General of the National Sports Commission, Al-Hassan Yakmut, and board members of the Nigeria Football Federation led by its 1st Vice President, Shehu Dikko, amongst others.

Various dance groups, including members of the Nigeria Football and other Sports Supporters Club, lit up the airport with their various song renditions and dance steps to the admiration of all.
Speaking at the airport, shortly after arrival of the team, an elated Yakmut said that he was happy that in his time the Eaglets successfully defended the FIFA U-17 Wold Cup.
