ELECTION PETITION:.Obi hails Atiku for standing for democracy

The vice presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP,  in the February 23 election, Mr. Peter Obi, has hailed the presidential candidate of the party, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar for approaching the election petition tribunal over the outcome of the presidential election.

Obi, who said the decision was most civilised way to challenge the outcome of an election, hailed Atiku for always standing for democracy, which he said the PDP built for 16 years.

Obi, who stated this in a statement by his media office on Tuesday in Abuja, insisted that approaching the election petition tribunal would grow the nation’s democracy.
