Super Eagles captain, Vincent Enyeama, has expressed sadness on the demise of his mum who passed away early this week.
He was due to fly to Abuja on Monday but cancelled the trip due to the unfortunate occurrence.
The 33-year-old keeper via instagram expressed sadness over incident while apologising to Nigerians for missing Nigeria’s first game under new manager Sunday Oliseh.
“So sorry I won’t make it out there to wear this shirt. so sorry that I won’t be standing there singing the anthem of my sweet Nigeria, I wish that this darkness didn’t come in daylight. I wish that I could turn back the hand of time. I wish I just wish that I could take away this pain. Let the rain wash away this pain,” Enyeama wrote.
