Herdsmen kill 2 policemen, wound 2 others, steal their guns in Kaduna

Herdsmen invade Ondo council secretariat, worker take flight

The Nigeria Police Force, Thursday, lost two of its men while two others were seriously wounded after gunmen, suspected to be Fulani herdsmen ambushed them along the Kagoro-Gidan Waya Road in Kaura Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

Two of the policemen, out of the six who were manning a check point in the area, however escaped unhurt while the gunmen made away with two AK47 rifles belonging to the dead officers.

The attack has been confirmed by the Public Relations Officer of the Kaduna State Police Command, Aliyu Usman, who said the policemen were ambushed and killed, while others were critically injured.

“Yes, gunmen killed two policemen. They were ambushed by the gunmen. Investigation into the matter has commenced,” Usman said.
