Founder of the Transformation Ambassador of Nigeria (TAN), Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah, has denied media reports that he escaped an assassination attempt on his life, or that his aide was killed.

Deji Adeyanju, media assistant to Ubah, told Daily Post that “Dr. Ifeanyi Ubah is hale and hearty”, and that the story was “a figment of the imagination of mischief makers”.

According to him, Ubah was just in Taraba on Sunday where he went to watch his football club, Ifeanyi Ubah FC.

Adeyanju said, “The story is not true and should be disregarded. I spoke with him just now and he has asked me to make these clarifications”.

Stories made the round on Sunday about a report in Sun that Ubah escaped suspected assassins recently when at the last minute he changed his mind about inspecting one his lands situated in an area after Apo mechanic village in Abuja, but instead asked his TAN directors to go at the last minute.

According to the report when the people he sent arrived the site, they were shot by gunmen who were already laying in wait for them at the site. One of his aides, identified as Mbanefo was reportedly killed while another named Barrister Chuman was abducted.
