A Chinese baby, who was declared dead by doctors, miraculously breathed his way back to life moments before he was to be cremated according to a local Chinese TV.

Sources say the baby who was declared dead and his body deposited at the morgue showed signs of life when he started moaning to the surprise of workers at crematorium in Pan’an in the eastern province of Zhejiang the next day with plans underway for his cremation.

After the discovery, the morgue officials, who still could not fathom how the child turned the corner after spending15 hours in the chilly morgue at a temperature of about -12 degrees Celsius (10.4 F), called the boy’s father, saying his son had been taken to hospital for treatment and examination.

“It’s the first time I’ve seen this. It’s a true miracle,” said a doctor at the Pan’an hospital where the infant was born prematurely in January.

When the child was born, he spent 23 days in an incubator and was taken home by his father who wanted his son to spend the New Year with him.

Unfortunately, the baby’s condition got worse a few days after his father took him home and on the 4th of February, he was declared to be clinically dead after a doctor decided his heart had stopped beating.

The baby was then taken to the morgue where he miraculously turned the corner.

Still struggling to stay alive, the baby is now closely being monitored by doctors who are however sceptical of his chances of recovery and survival.
