EDO APC CRISIS: Obaseki talks tough, vows to chase out dissidents

Socio-economic activities in Auchi, Etsako West local government area of Edo state were crippled on Monday as angry protesters rallied against the suspension of the chairman of the council, Musa Yakubu.

Reports say scores of placard carrying protesters flooded the local government area over the suspension of the council chairman by Governor Godwin Obaseki, for alleged fraud pending investigation by a panel set up to unravel the case.

Prince Muhammed Momoh who spoke on behalf of the protesters, said the suspension was illegal and also accused the Edo State Deputy Governor, Comrade Philip Shaibu of masterminding the move against the council chairman.
