Musa voted best player in Russia

Super Eagles captain, Ahmed Musa, has been named the Russian player of the week following his stellar showing in his side, CSKA Moscow’s 1-0 win over Spartak Moscow on Sunday.

The striker scored the only goal of the game to give his side the maximum points against city rivals. That was his fifth strike against the club since he moved to Russia from VVV Venlo about four seasons ago.

Super Eagles and CSKA Moscow forward Ahmed Musa has bagged the award of the Russian player of the week following his ‎performance during the Moscow Derby on Sunday March 6.

In an award organised by championat.com, the Nigerian star saw off contest from Maciej Rybus (Terek Grozny) and Stanislav Kritsyuk (FC Krasnodar) who finished second and third positions respectively.

Musa has been a subject of intense transfer speculations with English Premier League leaders Leicester as the front runners for his signature. Arsenal and MAnchsetr united are said to be interested too but the Nigeria skippers has als revealed his preference for a move to the  Emirates Stadium instead.
