#Nigeriavotes2019: Buhari double-checking Aisha’s vote sends Twitter into meltdown

Social media platform Twitter is about now on a meltdown after pictures and clips of President Muhammadu Buhari seemingly double-checking to see if his wife, Aisha Buhari voted for him at a polling unit in Daura surfaced online.

Many were miffed by the overbearing act of Mr President with some criticising his move saying it is against electoral laws, while a Twitter user said Buhari’s action could pass for voter intimidation.

Another Twitter user said Buhari’s action of peeping into Aisha’s ballot paper shows he has trust issues with his wife who has in the past been sending innuendos about her husband’s administration.
