There is tension in Andoni area of Rivers State following the murder of an All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain and a former chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the State, Monwon Etete.

Monwon was shot dead by unknown gunmen in his hometown of Andoni on Saturday afternoon while voters were waiting for the commencement of presidential and National Assembly elections in the area.

It was learnt that the development has created tensed and panicky atmosphere in the community.
