Despite power challenges Osinbajo says Nigeria a must for serious investors eyeing Africa

Acting president Yemi Osinbajo on Wednesday, following his return from London, appeared to have dismissed speculations and assertions by senior members of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) that ailing President Muhammadu Buhari had been on life-support.

In his comments to reporters before the weekly Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting in Abuja, Prof Osinbajo told reporters that he went to London to “check up on” President Buhari who has been away since May 7.

He added that “Of course I’ve been speaking to him on the phone and I thought it would be a good thing to go and see him and generally check up on how he was doing and also to brief him on developments”.

“We had a very good conversation on wide-ranging issues and he’s in very good spirits. He’s recuperating very quickly and he’s doing very well”, he continued.

“The meeting lasted for well over an hour”; we are expecting him back in very shortly,” he concluded.

Buhari, 74, has spent 66 days in London since his return to United Kingdom on May 7, for a follow-up medical treatment. He had in his earlier trip to London in January spent 49 days before returning to Nigeria.

The Acting President’s trip came only days after the President’s wife’s visit. Aisha Buhari had upon visiting her husband, responded to Sen Shehu Sani’s metaphorical facebook post in like manner, hinting at fractures in the cabinet and President Buhari’s imminent return.

Further developments and reactions on this matter are sure to arise as Osinbajo’s statements have not answered the many questions that still remain about Buhari’s exact state of health, the cost of his treatment and his expected date of return.

We don’t have to keep worrying ourselves when they are ready to reveal what is wrong with the president, they will tell us and if they don’t want to tell us anything, they should keep to themselves, I don’t care anymore sef

If he’s not on life-support, when is he going to return to Nigeria? This is what we need to known and what is he saying about the situation of the country?

So Osinbajo went to London for one hour just to say ‘Hello Mr. President Buhari, how are you doing?’ Without discussing any other thing? Lie! He went with Nigeria’s money, that makes him a criminal too because he wasted our money on the trip.

Keep shut you this reprobate and mannerless lady. How can you say such a thing? Do you expect him to spend 24 hrs with him or how? If he had spent more than days, same you will take it to social media that Nigeria has no functioning president neither acting President. Just get lost.

I know Osinbajo won’t lie to Nigeria. He is an honest man unlike others. Buhari is fine, so let’s believe him
