Osinbajo gives ‘the glory’ to Buhari
Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has given the credit recorded during his stint as acting president to his principal, President Muhammadu Buhari.
Osinbajo while speaking with state house correspondents on Monday after a meeting with Buhari stated that it was team work coordinated by Buhari, who was in London.
Buhari recently returned from his sojourn in London where he had spent about 50 days on a medical vacation.
While he was away analysts say the nation made some level of progress under Osinbajo, as opposed to when Buhari was in charge of affairs.
However, Osinbajo stated “I think one thing that we must recognize is the way this administration works, it has always been that of team work.
“There is very little that is done without the President’s clearance and endorsement, so generally speaking, even with some responsibilities that are mine constitutionally, we always have full discussions and agreements on them, and in some cases there is delegation. But by and large, I practically discussed practically everything fully with him while he was away and I had his endorsements before we were able to go on and do what we did”, the Vice President stated.

He also said that President Buhari “is doing very well, he is in his office and we just had a meeting, a very long meeting”
“We are basically trying to bring the President to speed on some of what has been done while he was away and he has given a few directives on what we should be doing in so many different areas; the Northeast, the budget, the economy, quite a range of issues. We just had a meeting for over an hour and his readiness for work isn’t in doubt at all”, he said.
On the president’s view of his performance, Osinbajo said, “I think the President was reasonably satisfied with the way I acted. I think so”.

You don’t need to think so. It is so. President Buhari liked the way you acted in his capacity. Three gbosa for you. How I wish you could continue to act and buhari continues to relax in the UK.

Sure. Bright prospect lies ahead of osinbajo. If he contest in 2023, as a northerner, I will solicit votes for him because he has proven himself worthy.

No administration will work out well without good team work between the head and the subordinates. Osinbajo did very well because he and Buhari have good working relationship, kudos to both of them

The laws of power are in play here. From what we have seen so far between this two, they are a model in leadership.

Osinbajo is humble and giving Buhari all the glory during his short term as actin president further proves that he’s indeed a committed vice who believes so much in Buhari
