N22TN DEBT: Buhari, APC have ruined Nigeria —PDP

As political parties gear up for campaigns ahead of the 2019 general elections, the leading opposition party in Nigeria, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Tuesday alleged that the Muhammadu Buhari Presidency and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) are plotting to squeeze financial live out of their members.

It noted that the plan by the ruling party is to procure frivolous court orders in collaboration with fraudulent judicial officers to liquidate accounts belonging to top PDP members and others who may be perceived as anti- Buhari.

The allegations were raised by Kola Ologbondiyan, National Publicity Secretary of PDP, in a statement he made available to journalists wherein he alleged that accounts belonging to select PDP leaders were already being probed with a view to having them liquidated ahead of the 2019 polls.

“It is clear that the only reason for this is to ensure that our party and candidates are deprived of access to funds for campaigns, but the APC and the Buhari Presidency fail to realize that the 2019 election is now a battle between them and Nigerians, who are the bastion of the PDP.

“Nigerians have since taken over the saddle for the quest to rid the nation of this incompetent, vicious and vengeful administration, for which they are now freely making contributions and sacrifices. “They have collectively resolved to vote out President Buhari and not even the APC’s on-going vote-buying strategy and intimidation can scuttle that resolve,” he said.
