Published

on

Senate President Bukola Saraki has written to the Chairman of his party, APC, explaining why the Senate could not conform to the party’s choice for principal officers.

He explained that the Senate zonal caucuses had submitted the names of senators they wanted to occupy the principal offices in conformity with Senate extant rules and standard parliamentary convention.

As such he said there was nothing he could do but conform to the rules of the Senate which he said super cedes the wishes of the party.
