‘S’South deserves PDP national chair’

A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party in Bayelsa State, Mr. Osom Makbere, has said the South-South geopolitical zone deserves the national chairmanship position of the party.

Makbere, who is the publicity secretary of the PDP in Bayelsa, stated this in a telephone interview on Tuesday with Punch correspondent.

He said, “In the entire country now, the South-South is the stronghold of the PDP. In the South-West, we just have the presence in one state. So, how do you expect that there won’t be issues if you take the national chairman of the party to that zone?
