President Bola Tinubu said on Saturday his administration would provide more modern equipment and resources to the Nigeria Police Force to discharge its responsibilities more effectively.

He stated this at the graduation ceremony of 478 students of Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil, Kano State.

Tinubu, who was represented by Vice President Kashim Shettima, urged the graduates to adhere strictly to the ethics of modern policing in the discharge of their responsibilities.

He charged them to shun corruption and uphold the highest level of professionalism in the police.

The president expressed confidence that the officers had received enough academic and professional training to positively impact the country’s security architecture.

Tinubu assured that the Federal Government would continue to support the academy, which he described as one of the best training grounds for police officers in Sub-Saharan Africa.

The president charged the new officers to prioritise the nation’s interests, discharge their constitutional responsibilities, and show work dedication and commitment.

“As you graduate today, you are not just receiving a certificate, but also becoming ambassadors of the Nigeria Police Service.

“I charge you to discharge your primary duties with compassion, integrity, and professionalism.

“Remember that you are the face of the police service, and your actions will reflect on the institution and the nation as a whole.

“Go forth and serve with honor, dignity, and respect for all Nigerians. Congratulations on your graduation.”
