Troops kill two suspected bandits in Zamfara
Troops of 1 Brigade, Operation Hadarin Daji (OPHD) on Friday killed two suspected bandits in Zamfara State.
The spokesman of OPHD, Lt. Suleiman Omale, said in a statement on Saturday that the troops engaged the bandits in a fierce gun duel in Unguwar Sarkin Musulmi area of Kaura Namoda local government area of the state.

He said: “Based on credible intelligence, the gallant troops swiftly responded to reports of violent extremist activities in the area and upon arrival, they engaged the element in a serious gun duel, effectively neutralizing two of them.
“The remaining bandits were forced to withdraw in disarray during the encounter. The troops conducted a mop-up operation, during which they recovered one operational motorcycle belonging to the terrorists.”
