Willian’s late free-kick won a dramatic Champions League game as Chelsea beat Dynamo Kiev 2-1. Chelsea controlled the game for the first half. Dynamo Kiev were limited to shots from distance, none of which went close, and Chelsea were barely threatened.
Chelse took the lead when Aleksandar Dragovic headed into his own net at the near post.
Willian fired in a cross from the right, and the defender instinctively dived in attempt to block it, sending it goalwards. Just before, Diego Costa was lucky not to be booked for tumbling in the box after Dragovic nudged him gently, leaving Jose Mourinho alternately fuming and laughing at the perceived injustic.
Similarly, Neymar scored twice and Luis Suarez added another goal to help Barcelona ease to a 3-0 win over BATE Borisov and move closer to qualifying for the Champions League knockout rounds on Wednesday.
While the injured Lionel Messi watched from the Camp Nou stands, Neymar converted a penalty on the half-hour mark.
Suarez scored in the 60th minute before setting up Neymar to cap the victory in the 83rd.
Barcelona leads Group E with 10 points. There are two matches remaining.
Roma beat Bayer Leverkusen 2-0 in the other group match to move into second with five points. Leverkusen has four points and BATE three.
Meanwhile, Thomas Mueller scored two goals as Bayern Munich dominated from start to finish to beat Arsenal 5-1 on Wednesday and close in on a place in the knockout stage of the Champions League.
Bayern lost to Arsenal 2-0 in London but the five-time champion left Arsene Wenger’s team no chance in the return fixture.
Robert Lewandowski opened the scoring in the 10th minute, Mueller doubled the lead in the 29th, Dabid Alaba made it 3-0 in the 44th. Arjen Robben scored with his first touch of the ball in the 55th, less than a minute after coming off the bench. Mueller added his second in the 89th.
Olivier Giroud pulled one back for Arsenal in the 69th.
The victory gave Bayern nine points atop Group F, while Arsenal has three.

In a related development, substitute Felipe Pardo kept Olympiakos on track for a place in the Champions League round of 16, scoring twice in the second half for a 2-1 win over Dinamo Zagreb.
In other Champions League matches played on Wednesday, Zenit St. Petersburg maintained its perfect record in the Champions League this season and reached the knockout phase of the competition with a 2-0 win at Lyon on Wednesday.
Artem Dzyuba scored both goals as Zenit secured its place in the last 16 with two games to spare, leading second-place Valencia by six points after the Spanish side lost 1-0 to Gent in the other Group H match. Gent is in third place with four points, while last-place Lyon is three points further back.
Also, Porto moved closer to a place in the knockout stages of the Champions League on Wednesday after easing to a 3-1 victory over Maccabi Tel-Aviv in Group G.
The victory moved Porto onto 10 points, while Maccabi remains without a point after four consecutive defeats.
