CHAMPIONS LEAGUE: Holders Liverpool to face Napoli, Spurs battle Bayern
The group stage draw of the 2019/2020 UEFA Champions League has been made in Monaco on Thursday and all teams have discovered their opponents.
Defending champions, Liverpool were drawn against Serie A giants, Napoli in Group E, while last season’s runners-up Tottenham Hotspur were pitted in Group B against German champions, Bayern Munich.
Other interesting groups are Groups A and F.
While European heavyweights Paris St-Germain and Real Madrid were drawn together in the former, Barcelona, Borussia Dortmund and Inter Milan will all meet in the latter.
The group stage of the competition begins on Tuesday, September 17, while the final is billed for Saturday, May 30, 2020 at the Ataturk Stadium in Istanbul.
