‎At least 3 dead as robbers raid banks in Ogun

Daredevil robbers on Thursday raided a number of commercial banks located in Agbara, Ogun State leaving many dead after the robbers shot sporadically at passersby and security operatives at the banks that were attacked.

According to eyewitnesses, the robbers announced their presence in the vicinity with gunshots and unsettling the usual peace that pervades the area while also leaving many in a pool of their blood.

It was also gathered that employees of companies such as Nestlé Foods, Beta Glass, Reckitt Benckiser and Lotus Plastics which are all situated in the same vicinity all scampered for their dear lives when the robbers began to shoot sporadically.

Though, the banks attacked are yet to be ascertained, a cluster of commercial banks such as Diamond Bank, UBA, Zenith Bank, UBA, First City Monument Bank and Guarantee Trust Bank are all located in the area.

According to a resident of the area who identified himself as Adewale, “The robbers arrived the area at about 8:30am in a commando style and started operating in some of the popular banks. They were seriously robbing and killing people. They were just shooting anyhow. There are so many people on the ground bleeding,” he said.

Ogun State Police Commissioner, Abdulmajid Ali declined speaking about the incident when contacted.
