More than 2 dozen civilians killed in anti-Kabila demonstrations
There is bloodshed and palpable fear pervading the air in the Democratic Republic of Congo after no less than 26 people were killed following anti-Kabila demonstrations in Kinshasa.
Reports say scores were arrested in the country’s capital amid growing protests against Joseph Kabila’s hold on power, as fears develop according to a Human Rights Watch.

Protesters set fire to the headquarters of the ruling party in the capital, Kinshasa.
Military and police forces fired live rounds, raising fears more people may have been killed, New York-based human rights group said.
