Fani-Kayode dubs Buhari’s govt most primitive, ignorant in Nigeria’s history

Temporary reprieve came the way of the former Director of Media and Publicity for the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Presidential Campaign Organisation, Chief Femi Fani- Kayode, as he was released from detention on Friday after spending over 65 days in the cooler.

Fani-Kayode was arrested, detained and charged to court over his alleged involvement in the about N4.9bn PDP campaign funds allegedly sourced from  the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN.

His release was confirmed by his media aide, Jude Ndukwe.

It would be recalled that Ndukwe had released a short statement on Tuesday that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, was delaying the verification of Fani-Kayode’s bail documents after meeting all the bail conditions.

It would also be recalled that Fani-Kayode, former Finance Minister, Nenadi Usman and three others charged with money laundering, were granted bail by a Federal High Court in Lagos, in the sum of N250 million.
