Again, David Mark triumphs at Appeal Court

Former Senate President, Senator David Mark has again triumphed at the Court of Appeal over his election as the senator representing Benue State South Senatorial District.

David Mark, a two term Senate President, after the verdict, said he has forgiven his opponent, Daniel Onjeh and all those who conspired against him during the February 20, 2016 rerun election.

The retired military officer, in a statement by his media aide, Paul Mumeh,, said the journey was tortuous but was glad that all avenues were exhausted to affirm his victory.

While delivering judgment, Justice Obande Ogbuinya of the Appeal court, on Saturday, upheld the decision of the lower Tribunal that the petition of Onjeh lacked merit, was incompetent and status barred and therefore dismissed.

The two other justices, including Justices Oyebisi Omoleye and Ifeoma Jombo, concurred with Justice Ogbuinya.
