AfroBasket: Cameroon stops Nigeria

Nigeria’s D’Tigress unbeaten run ended Friday night as they lost narrowly by 1 point to Cameroon in the semi-final game of the 2015 AfroBasket in Yaoundé, Cameroon as the match ended 71-70 in favour of the host.

The team which had defeated Egypt, Senegal, Guinea and Algeria to get to the semi-final could not overcome the energetic Cameroonians who had the entire hall supporting them.

The defeat has denied the team the opportunity to fight for the automatic ticket for the 2016 Olympics in Rio De Janeiro in Brazil as the winner of the AfroBasket gets the slot
