Ahead of Bayelsa poll, court disqualifies APC’s candidate for providing false information to INEC

With just four days to the Bayelsa State governorship election, the Federal High Court, Abuja, on Tuesday disqualified the deputy governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Biobarakuma Degi, from participating in the poll.

Justice Inyang Ekwo while ruling on a suit marked FHC/ABJ/CS/1101/2019 and instituted by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and others, said the court was satisfied that Degi gave false information in the form CF0001 he submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to contest the election.
