APC expels Dogara’s whistle-blower Jibrin

The suspended House of Representatives member, Abdulmumuni Jibrin who blew the whistle on the Speaker of the House of Representatives and other principal officers of the House has been suspended by his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC).

His expulsion was announced by the chairman of the party in Bebeji Local Government Area of Kano State, Sani Ranka, who said the action followed Jibrin’s anti-party activities.

He told reporters on Thursday that the party had taken all constitutional steps to make Jibrin desist back from such “anti-party activities”, but that it was to no avail.

It would be recalled that Jibrin, a former chairman of the House Committee on Appropriations, had accused the Speaker Dogara and some principal officers of the House of illegally padding the 2016 budget for their selfish interests.

He only just recently announced that he had been invited by the Econiomic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) which said it had launched an investigation into the issue, based on Jibrin’s petition.

According to Ranka, Jibrin who represents Bebeji Federal Constituency was invited by a five-member committee set up by the party, but that the lawmaker refused to meet the panel.

Jibrin was accused of factionalizing the party, creating an unconstitutional leadership, working against the government of Governor Abdullahi Ganduje and indiscipline against the national headquarters of the party and the presidency of Muhammadu Buhari.

Ranka said, “Before taking this final decision, we formed a disciplinary five-man committee and they went to him on 11-4-2017, he saw them briefly but without any tangible talks and they went back on 13-4-2017 he then refused to see them”.

The party’s executive, he revealed, was forced to take action against Jibrin after the panel reported back to them.

Meanwhile, the suspended lawmaker in a tweet on his twitter handle in reaction to the sack report said, “Reports of my expulsion from my party, the APC, are false, and originated from known detractors. Kindly disregard them. Details later.”

How convenient! Now that EFCC has finally agreed to look at the allegations against Dogara, Jibrin is suddenly guilty of several anti party activities, including working against the government of Ganduje. The way the list of his crimes was going I was waiting to read that he was master-minding a coup against Buhari. Corrupt party of hypocrites. Later they will be pretending to fight corruption. Mtchew!!!!

APC knows why they expelled Jibrin, only them can explain, and that’s when they choose to tell everyone the truth. Jibrin’s expel is more than what they made available to the media

Well deserved, Jibrin is a traitor who is not worthy of being a member of APC. Being a lawmaker, I thought he was going to be more responsible, but Nah

How did he betray apc Abeni? You are daft and bereaved of information, jibril did the right thing by exposing the heinous crimes they are committing in the House of Reps just like Ndume did in Senate

Truthful people like Jibrin and very expensive and cannot be appreciated in Nigeria here. APC hates to be told the truth and that’s why the party decided to expel Jibrin.
