OGUN: Amosun's finance commissioner tackles Abiodun, says he inherited N18.3bn

It took the timely intervention of security operatives to rescue the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State, Dapo Abiodun who was waylaid on his way to Ofada town for his campaign by unknown thugs.

The campaign team had headed to the town after a rally in Owode town in Obafemi-Owode Local Government Area on Friday but were intercepted by armed thugs suspected to have been sponsored by a rival governorship candidate in the state.

Gunshots were fired sporadically while Abiodun was whisked away by security details attached to him.

Some of his supporters reportedly sustained injuries varying from gunshot and machete wounds.
