APC to Review Conference Reports for Party’s Stance On Restructuring

There are indications that the Governor Nasir el-Rufai-led committee on restructuring will, among other things, be considering previous reports on constitutional conferences in its review of the call for restructuring of the country.

LEADERSHIP gathered that the committee will also review manifesto, campaign promises and constitution of the governing All Progressives Congress (APC) as it fashions out a workable structure for the country.

It was also learnt that the party organs will then review the recommendations by the committee before it is finally presented to President Muhammdu Buhari.

However, the el-Rufai led restructuring committee will have to hold public hearings before it arrives at a position, which will eventually be debated by the party before subsequent submission to the presidency, a process that may be at the later part of the year.
