The Deputy National Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party, Prince Uche Secondus, on Saturday, opened up on his ordeal with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, describing it as part of the intimidation opposition figures by the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.

Secondus, who was released by the EFCC on administrative bail on Wednesday night after eight days in detention, also cautioned the anti-graft agency on the strigent nature of their bail conditions, adding that it would aid corruption instead of figting it.

The former acting national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, who denied collecting 23 exotic cars from business man Jide Omokore, said the conditions help to promote corrupt practices in the name of fighting corruption.

Secondus stated this in a statement titled “keeping records straight.”

According to him, there was no truth in the allegations that he collected 23 exotic cars purchased from proceeds of oil swap.

Describing the allegation as baseless, Secondus explained that he only received two cars and buses as gift from his friend staggered between 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015.

He insisted that his arrest and detention by the EFCC ‎was part of political intimidation by the APC against opposition political parties.
