Mohammed Babaganaru has been unveiled as the new technical adviser of El-Kanemi Warriors ahead of the new Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) season.

The former Yobe Desert Stars manager takes over from Imama Amapakabo, who left the club at the end of last season to concentrate on his job with the Super Eagles.

At Yobe Desert Stars, Babaganaru could not get his one-year contract renewed following the club’s poor showing in the Nigerian top-flight.

But he is one of the most experienced gaffers in the league having managed big clubs like Kano Pillars, Nasarawa United and Wikki Tourists in time past.

His new side, El-kanemi Warriors struggled to make an impact in the NPFL last season, but they made it to the last 16 of the Aiteo Federation Cup.

They will hope to experience a fresh and favourable start when the 2018/2019 NPFL season kicks off on December 1st.
