Bandits raid Katsina village, abduct 15 women

Gunmen suspected to be bandits on Tuesday evening killed two people in the Birnin-Gwari area of Kaduna State.

Three others were hit by bullets fired by the hoodlums at Bagoma Dam – a city gate that leads to the town from Niger State.

The Chairman of Birnin-Gwari Vanguard for Security and Good Governance, Ibrahim Abubakar, who confirmed the incident to journalists, said many people were also abducted by the terrorists in the attack that occurred at about 7:00 p.m.

He added that the incident had been reported to security agents.

Kaduna and five other states in North-West have been under siege from the bandits since 2019 with hundreds of people killed and several others abducted by the criminals in the region.
