Buhari returns to Abuja from Japan

President Muhammadu Buhari has returned to Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), from Japan.

According to the president’s special assistant on media and publicity, Femi Adesina, Buhari returned to Abuja late Saturday night.

“President Buhari arrives Abuja after participating at the 7th Tokyo International Conference on African Development on 31st Aug 2019,” Adesina wrote in a Facebook post.

An earlier report by the president’s new media aide, Bashir Ahmad said he departed Yokohama, Japan for Abuja In the early hours of Saturday.

He had tweeted, “After the successful participation in the 7th Tokyo International Conference on African Development (#TICAD7) President @MBuhari has departed Yokohama, Japan for Abuja.”

Buhari had on Sunday, August 25, travelled to Japan for the TICAD7, themed, “Africa and Yokohama, Sharing Passion for the Future.”

Buhari had at the event, among other things called on international investors to come and invest in Nigeria, assuring them of good returns if they do.
