President Muhammadu Buhari’s ministers-designate will take their oat of office on Wednesday, ending the long wait for a federal cabinet the Presidency has said.

Immediately after that, President Buhari will officially inaugurate a new Federal Executive Council same day.

According to a statement by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina, the President will also administer oaths of office on the National Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu and five national commissioners on Monday.

Adesina further stated that each minister-designate was expected to attend the Wednesday inauguration scheduled for 10am with a maximum of two guests.

The INEC chairman and the five National Commissioners are billed for inauguration by 11am on Monday.
